NeuroSn uses conversion electrons to target the pro-inflammatory microglia that contribute to the neuroinflammation of Alzheimer’s disease. Sn-117m is a medical nuclide that, when conjugated to a microglia-targeting molecule, can cross into the brain and attach to and inactivate the pro-inflammatory aged microglia.
Methods for Sn-117m production are well described, and scale up cGMP commercial production for several Sn-117m products has been achieved. NeuroSn can routinely manufacture Sn-117m with the isotope easily and safely handled and distributed. Commercial scale manufacturing of medical grade Sn-117m products is established and the isotope has been shown to be safe in animal and human studies.
The methods of chemical production and manufacturing of Sn-117m and inflammatory cell targeting molecules are patented and patent pending.
